Hello folks, the other day I gave a WABO structural test and for the most part the tester was doing a pretty decent job, that is, until it came time for the covers on this plate. This was a vertical and I looked him out on the visual for the covers, however, I always cut and bend the specimens anyways just to give folks a heads-up on how the internals of their plates turned out. This was a rather interesting weld deposit considering that this was FCAW-G and generally this stuff runs very well. The machine was set within parameters although, personally I felt that there was too much wire and not enough voltage in this case(far end of the ranges and direct opposites from one another). Thought that some of you would find this photo interesting.
