Blessed Ramadan to all.
Tomorrow I start my 4th Ramadan overseas.
All of them were/are in different countries.
2014 Turkey. Kinda like the "Methodists" of Islam...
2013 Georgia. Although predominantly an Orthodox Christian nation, they have a large Muslim population as was represented on my project.
2012 Kuwait. Horrible conditions as they are a Theocracy and very Strict
2011 Afghanistan... need I say more!

Lucky you!

There are advantages of working overseas, but you haven't cited any of them.

Best regards - Al

C'mon Man! How can that beach be beautiful? Coney Island looks better than that... Do they know what white sandy beaches like the ones down in the southern gulf shores such as Panama City, Pensacola, Fort Walton or Destin, or "Confectionary Sugar like" Siesta Key beach in Florida? Have you ever seen any of them John?

Respectfully,
Henry

Yes very true Henry, and I have been to some of those beaches. But the point is, that I was on the clock when that foto was taken.
Now if we want to talk beach time/party time...
Speaking of confections... What do you think of this "sweetness in the sand"?

Uhhhhh........:eek::eek::eek: Nice monkey!!! There's a monkey in that picture?????? Must have missed it, guess I'll go back and study the picture more to see if I can find it. Must be like one of those paintings where you have to tweak your eyes to see it cause I have not seen a monkey yet....

Have you been to Phuket?
Parent - By Superflux (****) Date 06-30-2014 11:58 Edited 06-30-2014 12:05
Yes I have, but it was just to wash off the jet lag from my trip in via Incheon, and on my way to Kho Phi Phi Don. Washed off, went for a splash in the beach, cleaned up and went down town. I thought it was cesspool and would probably have more fun in Detroit or Compton. (I take that back, I HAD more fun!). Here's my room at the Holiday Inn in Phuket, and the beach was only about 60 meters away. Phuket makes Bangkok look cosmopolitan...
FWIW, The movie "The Beach" was filmed on the neighboring/sister island Kho Phi Phi Lei.
