Up Topic Welding Industry / General Welding Discussion / Lincoln R3R-300 DC question.

I was given a surplus machine from work. (Lincoln 300 DC, 3 phase)
My question is, rather then spending a small fortune on setting up 3 phase in my garage....which would probably be more expensive then a NEW welder, I've heard of 3 phase machines being re-wired for home use. Is this an option I have for this machine or just wishful thinking. I'm CLUELESS when it comes to electrical so any help or advise would be great. Thanks for your time.

Phase converters are available for specific electrical situations but you should contact Lincoln directly on this one. Based on your question, they will be able to provide you with the best guidance in terms of that machine and your particular requirements.

Good luck
