Not certain either.
Lawrence and Allan are right in my understanding.
Lawrence in regard to the connector, referred to as 'Euro (ZA)' - an early 'Binzel' creation actually and probably among the most common connector types in Europe. Allan again, regarding the brand itself.

Caution though with respect to the latter.
There are 2 firms actually producing 'Binzel' torches and parts.
TBi (the one discussed here) and ABICOR Binzel.
Two brothers first arguing and then finally deciding to go separate ways in the 1990's.

Hello electrode, thanks for that information. It's interesting how businesses come and go and go separate ways as you said. On a slightly different note from welding, "Dan Wesson" and the "Wesson" of "Smith & Wesson" are a very good example as well. Best regards, Allan

I think what you have there is called a "Euro body" style of end connection.

Was wondering what the dial on the handle controlled. Is it a for remote wire speed or drive rolls in the gun?

Good point.

Given that 'TB Flex 16' - noticeable on the hose package - does relate to 16 mm^2 coaxial cable cross section; I presume it's a low(er) performance (air cooled) push torch. Provided also that the 'TB' refers to 'Team Binzel' then the torch is likely to be produced before 1995, since after that they became 'TBi'.
Hence, I suppose it's some sort of (early) remote wire feed rate control.

The torch depicted in the images though might thus prove a predecessor of TBi's nowadays 'TB 150' type. I'm afraid nothing for application in heavy construction business or similar - maybe something for being employed in an auto-body shop to join thin sheet-metal at lower duty cycle.

But maybe I'm wrong and the pictures show some sort of 'push-pull' torch.

Yes, the dial is for adjusting wire speed, which can be done while welding.

Thanks for all of the responses. They have been very helpful. I am not a welder , but I used to sell Mac Tools welders , which is where I acquired this part. It is of no use to me , but I would hate to throw away a perfectly good, brand new part.
