Yes, I took it and got it about 6-7 years ago. I think it is at least as hard, probably harder, than the ICC Bolting test. Only difference is that you don't have to do print reading for the AWS Endorsement test.
Very few jobs actually require the Bolting cert from either organization in my area: structural. Yet, I do get comments about it from Building Authorities.
ICC states a welding inspector will be qualified to AWS/CWI QC1. There is no call out on the qualifications/certifications for a bolting inspector even though they themselves have a test for it and detail the inspections to be performed.
Nice part about the AWS Bolting, once you get it you don't pay to renew, when you keep up your CWI it is automatically renewed.
