Hi All,
I want help from you all in selecting filler wire for joining of Brass to Mild Steel and Copper Alloys to Mild Steel, process used is TIG welding.
Request you to kindly let me know at the earliest.
Regards,
Ranjith
my first thought
copper, silver, tin filler
I might look up what company sells it
but look for that filler with JUST those 3 components
sincerely,
Kent
Thanks for the information Kent.
btw,
I would use GMAW over GTAW
just IMHO
sincerely,
Kent
These material combinations are not welded together, but they can be brazes using a silver filler metal, such as BAg-7 or BAg-24
Have you tried Silicon bronze?
GTAW or GMAW will work.
But the big question is...
What is the application, joint design, any governing code, etc.
flux,
good call
always on the mark
someday you can make a welder and not be an inspector
hehehehe
sincerely,
Kent
Hi,
Sorry for delay in reverting
Application is (Radio Frequency) RF anechoic chamber. Chamber and doors will be made of Mild Steel.
To absorb signals Brass or Bronze will be used and this has to be brazed or welded (TIG welding) to MS.
For joining of this I am looking for filler alloy.
