we are receiving consumable cylinder with out batch number traceability in testing certificate but batch number are being pasted on each cylinder by sticker .Is this practice is acceptable .

I raised NCR about batch number traceability ?

I referred SFA 5.32 but I couldn't able to understand clearly .

Please guide me in this regard. Thanks .

5.32 does not have specific batch/lot traceability requirements

Since you said "we are receiving" I presume you are working in some capacity for the company receiving the cylinders.

As such, does your contract and/or purchase order request/require such traceability?

As Al asked, does the contract with your client require this kind of traceability?

Most of the time it is not needed to satisfy job requirements or applicable codes.  What would be the purpose and/or benefit of said traceability?
