Hi everyone, I am a student from Mitchell Tech and we are able to be certified for a robot operator through the school and I was wondering if there are companies that require a certification or if it is more of the company that certifies you?

I can't speak to what every employer would be looking for, but I would recommend going for it. If for nothing else as it would show a potential employer that you have the ability and desire to learn and improve yourself in that field.

In welding, most employers will want to 'Qualify' you in the process they are using, in the way they use it. Having a 'Certification' from school at least shows that you are able to pass that test.

I'll second that opinion.

That's what I was thinking also. Thank You  for your advice.
I was also wondering if it depended on the type of machine you certify on ?
