Does anyone have any input on robotic welding operator classes? Do a lot of companies require previous training or is it easier for them to start from scratch training you for their systems? Right now I am taking a course and at the end of it, we will get a certification through our school saying we have had 200 hours operating and programing robotic welder. I'm just wondering if they are still going to start me out at the bottom like everyone else without training?
Hi Dylan, Unless you were trained on the same robotic system (language) that your future employer uses, you will start at the bottom, but will have a leg up over everyone who didn't have programming. Good luck.
