After final alignment of pipe some of the welded joints  are directly resting on its structural support.Is it acceptable.

I am not aware of any piping code requirements that state a pipe weld may not be sitting on the supporting steel (if this what you're asking). However, I would make sure this is okay with the responsible Engineer just to be sure.

Yes,this is exactly i am asking about.I have such a situation and really confused because not able to find any code requirements as you said.

Is there a drawing that specifically calls out pipe location?
The Engineer would consider things like bearing loads acting on the pipe.

Normally there would be a piping specification for each line type that addresses supports including any need for pads.

The codes will address the minimum spans and a few other engineering details however what the pipe is supported on is another level of detail.
