I was informed on Friday at the end of the day that I would be performing test plate welding on AL-6XN on Monday. 1/8 and 1/4 sheet steel. There will be corner and but welds using GMAW with ERNiCrMO-3 in .035 dia wire. I have no clue as to gas, amps, or voltage, travel speed. If any of you have experience with this alloy this is a request for your help.

Not familiar with your base material but here is a little data on the filler wire you called out, which appears to be Inco 625:

Here are some nickel alloy welding parameters from Ed Craig http://www.weldreality.com/STEELS%20NICKEL%20ALLOYS.htm

Thank you for the info. I knew that somebody out there would be aware of this stuff.

Hey,

Just to get you close, here is a nice little parameter sheet for stainless gmaw wire. While not exactly what your working with I think the parameters will get you close with Amperage and Voltage. It also provides specs for several shielding gas combinations.

I really like the Hobart website's welding wire data sheets. They really put out alot of good information on a wide variety of electrodes.
