Is there a electrode size requirement for a 3G D1.5 welder qualification test.  Can 1/8"electrodes be used on 1" test plates?

Are you taking the test or giving the test ?

I am giving the test,  is there a "standard electrode size requirement?   I am CWI giving test for a contractor with no clue as what he needs.

This is going to come across as harsh but;;;;

After reviewing the clause on welder performance qualification yourself, share which paragraph or table it is you don’t understand about electrode size.

If neither the contractor or the test conductor bother themselves to even have the code available to do their jobs?

The contractor “has no clue”  so the test conductor goes to a chat room to get the answer?.....

I’ll be avoiding bridges the rest of the week.

If you can't afford to buy the code, you can't afford to do the work.
