AWS D1.6 Prequalified CJP Groove Welded Joint for Tubular

First, Thank You for any help with this topic!

My question is I have purchased SWPS B2.1-8-212:2001(R2012) GTAW of Stainless 1/16" - 1-1/2" Primarily Pipe Applications for some 6G WQT's and it provides joint configurations but within the actual AWS D1.6 does not list any prequalified CJP groove welded joint details for Tubular Connections?

I found my answer 2017 AWS D1.6 5.13.4(2) Tubular CJP butt joint welded one side no backing detail B-L2b or B-L6

Hi Wesley

Check Clause 5.13

5.13.4 CJP Tubular Groove Welds
(1) A PWPS for production joints welded from one side with backing, or both sides with backgouging, shall use the
appropriate Figure 5.4 detail and shall conform with all other requirements of Clause 5. However, nominal pipe diameters
less than 12 in [300 mm] welded with SAW shall require WPS qualification in accordance with Clause 6.

(2) A PWPS for tubular CJP butt joints welded from one side without backing shall use joint detail B-L2b or B-L6 of
Figure 5.4, whichever is appropriate, and shall conform with all other requirements of Clause 5.
