Hey!

I am a teacher in Brooklet, GA. My students are completing senior projects. One of my students is going to build a BBQ grill with a 55 gallon drum. We are having trouble finding a 'building" plan for him. Does anyone have a plan he could use or a website that we can go to? Any help would be much appreciated. Please e-mail any information to klanderson@bulloch.k12.ga.us with BBQ grill as the subject. Thanks again!

a quick google search found this cooker, seems like there are some good links on the left of the screen(in particular the Do's and Don'ts).
HTH give you some ideas to build one of these,

Just a thought here-

Make sure it is clean!!!

There are lots of stuff stored in 55 gallon drums that you do not want in your cheeseburger!!!

And just because it looks clean doesen't mean it is. Heating up the sheetmetal to BBQ temperature may bring out some residual .."Chloro-floral-shrink-your-scrotum" whatever stuff!!

I have made one before. With the hamburgers probably more things they put in the cows then what comes out of the barrels. But it is better to get a clean un used barrel. If you can find a few.
