NEDD AN IDLER FOR AN LINCOLN SA200-162
Parent - By billvanderhoof (****) Date 06-01-2005 04:05
I wish I had a bunch of these, this comes up fairly often. Search here for "idler", there have been several threads. Max out the numbers at the bottom of the search box. Search Google "lincoln sa200 idler" only gets about 10 hits but at least the first one wants to sell a replacement. If you are trying for restoration to original you will find things more difficult.

There were two idlers used with the F162 engine. The earlier unit used a metal bellows, the later used the R-57 idler, a triangular unit mounted on side of generator. This one has "R-57" stamped on side of case. We have some items for these as well as the complete R-57 if you want to keep all original. If you go to the website the previous poster gave you the fix he has, as well as several others, will give you precise electrical control of idle time as well as a power idle function that you don't have now. Hope this helps. Thanks
