I just bought this welder and replaced the receptacle in the garage to fit the plug. I put a meter on it after switching receptacles and it reads between 252 and 256 Volts. ( it's back and forth constantly ) I know 240 is fine and maybe even 250 but is this gonna be a problem ? I am worried about really shortening the life of the welder. Thanks guys

you have a plus and minus 10% so 240 can go up to 274 down to 216

Thanks for posting back N. I went ahead and tried it yesterday and it ran like a dream. Most everyone I have been talking to says too low of a voltage is MUCH worse than it being too high. Anyhow so far so good and hope it keeps working well. Thanks again.
