when i pull the triger it starts feeding slow then speeds up anyone know what would cause this?

Some wire feeders have a "run in" setting that can do what you describe.
Also a kinked lead or mis-adjusted rollers can make the feed inconsistant.
What kind of power supply and feeder do you have?

Also oxidized wire will act similarly.

sounds like a run in thing, the feeder comes on slow then speeds up the wires not slipping its a 220 power sply. is the run in setting adjustable?
