Lets start by saying I would rather use ceramic backing bar. Does anyone know where I can purchase a couple of feet of copper bar that is 1" thick and 3" or 4" wide?

We get 3/8" copper bar x 4" wide x 10' long at our local warehouse supplier, same place we buy our mild steel. They also have brass.
