Guys/Gals

I have have a project where I believe " tandem mig" would be a possible huge improvement. It is a large robotic process with 1000's of inches of weld. Quantities are such that I simply need to go FASTER to gain substantial time.

I have NO experience with Tandem MIG and would like any insight or advice or direction to where I can find the most reliable information on this process before I start the investigation process.

Here is a link that has some good discussion of tandem GMAW. The data your looking for on twin wire GMAW is about half way down the lengthy test.

The article asks good hard questions about process control, the correct power suppies for specific conditions and even some working data.

The author is a bit gruff but his info may be right up your alley
