I have been asked to offer advice to a fabricator who is doing work on gauge stainless GTAW in all positions to ASME code. Currently the are using scratch start GTAW with no amperage control.

I would like to suggest torch mounted rather than foot control for them, due to the nature of the projects and the mobility required. (rather large vessels.)

I'm looking here for recommendations on torch mounted amptrol devices. I would like get some input from you folks and maybe do some trials before I move forward.

What do you like best and why do you like it.
