Title: Senior Quality Engineer Reports to: Manager - Total Quality

Position Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain ISO related documents and procedures.

2. Act as lead auditor in developing audit plans for internal and external audits.

3 Perform internal process and product audits as required.

4 Perform supplier system and product quality audits

5 Provide technical support to other departments related to internal, supplier or field issues.

6 Act as project facilitator on project teams in order to obtain continuous improvement.

7 Develop and administer statistical studies as necessary in order to reduce waste and improve overall product quality.

8 Perform field visits to customer's sites to diagnose and resolve field issues when needed.

9 Act as liaison between Quality Assurance and other departments in regards to problem resolution.

10 Provides system training to new or current employees.

11 Develop and administer inspection plans as needed.

12 When required, perform duties normally required of other quality positions.

13 Support company wide continuous improvement through participation in programs.

14 Have adequate PC skills in software packages such as Microsoft Office programs.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor degree or ASQ CQE certification preferred. Minimum of eight (8) years experience in a similar type industry.
A minimum of eight (8) years experience in the field of quality or similar type industry
American Society of Quality Certifications in:

Certified Quality Engineer
Certified Quality Auditor
And /or

AWS Certified Weld Inspector
Level I or II NDT technician.
Must be capable of interpreting complicated blue prints and understanding of engineering terminology related to product and operations.

Have working knowledge of manufacturing related principles as related to Engineering drawings.

Be familiar with construction equipment manufacturing and related welding processes.

Have an understanding of special inspection performed within the plant (i.e., NDT, Weld, Metrology, etc.)

Have a thorough understanding of the product/processes and management systems throughout the organization

Communication skills, which will allow positive communications with all areas of the company.

Salary

$up to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
