I have an old SAE 400-F245 Lincoln with a Continental flathead 6 cyl. gas engine that is seized. I can't find an engine. I heard that other engines will fit. What are my options to get this mother running again? Can it be done, and how? If not, want to buy it? (mackweld@yahoo.com)

It isn't beyond doing to take it apart, clean up the parts, and rebuild it.

I don't know what will fit, but a lot of fork lift trucks used the Continental 6 for a lot of years. I don't know if the end of the crank is different or not.

most of the continental equiped engines used a flywheel and a bolt on cupler so any engne with the same diameer flywheel and a bit of fab to mount the bolt on coupler should work..  but there are enoughparts out there to just rebuild the one ya got.
