I'm trying to set up a proceedure for torque testing of stud welds. Does anyone here have one to share?

i'm not fimaler with the "destructive torque testing of stud welds". are you refering to the torque testing of threaded studs in aws D1.1

You have it on the first go hogan. B4.0 addresses it but D1.1 gives more detail. It can be construed as a destructive test as you torque till you reach proof or the weld breaks one.

Your post is a little confusing. As mentioned there are the test in D1.1, then there are test as prescribed in ASME SA 449 "SPECIFICATION FOR QUENCHED AND TEMPERED
STEEL BOLTS AND STUDS", Then ASTM F 606 for further testing. Let ups know exactly what your after.
