I have just come across a used sa-200, it has 3800 hours on it and appears to be in great shape.  It comes with over 200' of leads, reels, and a 100' remote.  I am trying to find the year model for this machine, the seriel #C1000101 & mod#9835.  The asking price is $3500,  what do you think of this deal?  Any help with finding the year model?  Thanks!     Brian

Go to weldmart online. You'll need the "code # " off the I.D. plate on the face of the welder. There is a code # on the engine as well, but it wont help you I.D. the year.Is it a diesel or gas model? Distributer/coil ignition,or,magneto??

You can e-mail Lincoln Electric and they will tell you what year it was made providing you give them all of the nameplate data.  I just did this with my old SA200 and found out that mine is a '63.  They were very helpful and it didn't cost me a cent.
