if a guy is 52 and has been doing structural welding stick, mig, and fluxccore for about 25 yrs. is it worth going to hobart to get a pipe cert since i'll probably be in the work force for another 10 to 15 yrs? i figure i might as well make all the money i can.  and i just love the smell of weld smoke in the morning!

Hello mont937, if the tuition cost doesn't bother you I say go for it. There is no doubt that you will get quality instruction there. They have a reputation for employing some of the finest to teach you and have been at it forever. They also produce some fine instructional materials that a great many welder training facilities use, mine is one of them. Good luck and soak up as much knowledge and know-how as you can. Regards, aevald
