looking for main armature it is a copper unit 33'' from end to end i have 3  32'' won't fit they came out of short exciter case

have not found a used one yet had lead 450.00       have you got any ideas other than  a rewound one for995.00-1395.00 to much to spend just for a armature . can buy complete units cheaper. i rebuild these units from frame up sandblasting all metal rebuilding the 163 if needed and rewiring complete wiring harness. the machines are as good as new resealed and tuned up field case resealed and shunts replaced if needed

do you have the wiring diagram for the armature. how and where they go to when they come out on top of the armature. this should help me out alot. thank you

hey lookin for info .. you had to replace your arm?  was it worth it ?    ...      RE :sa250  symtoms  are hot  to cold intermittly   dont know  ,brushes  ?    3cyl  diesl .  5000 + hr  any way to pinpoint problem ..

Need a little more info. I will help you out best I can. Hot and cold while welding and on 110? Any change in engine speed? Have you checked for faulty connections or rheostat? Bad connection at switch tap, does it do it in all ranges? Have you checked the brushes, diode bridge on main brush holder?
What is the code# of your machine?

I have 3 33" SA200 main armatures and one for a sa250 code#8538. {pics available upon request) I also have 2 crated armatures from Lincoln, no butt plate on 'em.

Main or alternator armature? I need the code#. The machine is either a 3.0kva or 3.5kva. Either way I need the code.
