Hi,
I'm looking for a heating system (induction?) that can heat a large weldment (30,000#) to 200°F
Anyone know a name brand that would be used possibly in ship building?
Thanks in advance.

Check with Miller Electric they have some pretty serious induction heaters. Saw a 36" with 1.125" wall thickness, chill water at 45F flowing at 50-60 gallons/min. and a hot tap for a lateral. Brought to 300F and held for the entire weld.

Does this work well with large weldments with pockets, gussetts and everything else that gets in the way?
Thanks for the reply

The induction blankets are very flexible. Get a hold of Miller and they should tell you if your application will work.

We just bought the Miller ProHeat 35 and it's definitely impressive stuff, will save oodles and oodles of time!

Here's a good contact: STEVE LATVIS SLATVI@millerwelds.com
