I have a question that arise because a Lab. give me a result on nick-breack test that show a slag inclusion of 2,5 mm. but, did not indicate if this is a lenght or depht.

Q.- Is it a requirement that slag inclusion shall be dimensioning by lenght and depth, and separation (if is applicable)?.

I belive yes, but I need more opinions.

Thanks in advance.

You are absolutely correct. They should indicate whether the dimension is length or depth. The acceptable dimensions and seperations are clearly defined in 5.6.3.3. 0.8mm for depth and 3mm for length. If 2.5mm is the length, it is acceptable. If it is the depth, it is rejectable.
