We had a new guy start a while back. This guy was way green so he wound up as the Old Guy's helper, you know, so he could learn something.
Well, as it happens, Old Guy had a small diverter valve fabbed and prepped and ready to assemble. OG shows ng how to hold the side pieces in place and prepared to tack.
Now Old Guy has this habit of saying "watch that light" every time he is about to strike an arc, so he does.
Ng is working out great and by about 2:00 break they are 2/3ards tacked up.
We were all sitting there at the break table and someone asked the ng how he liked working with Old Guy.
Ng says "I like it fine, but hes gonna have to get someone else to watch that damn light!".

That's pretty funny, give the green guy some dark sun glasses before he goes blind, though or maybe he'll figure out not to watch the light.

There was a story on another forum, please forgive Me if I read it here... The guy's uncle had a welding shop, and a pet mina bird that lived there. In the winter He would take the bird home. One of the things it said was "Watch Your Eyes".
