I am wondering whar everyone is using to carry all of the inspection guages and tools.  I am a D1.1 shop inspector and am tired of  craming all of my guages, paint pens etc... in my pockets.  I have been to lowes and home depot and havent found anything that is the right size I am looking for.  I would think that an inspection company would have made something to cater to us inspectors.

I use a carpenter's tool belt with multiple pouches. Mine has two large and two small pouches as well as a holder that contains my pen, magic marker, and paint stick. One pouch is used to hold a small can of red paint and a small can of green paint (I always run out of red paint first). The other large pouch holds my note pad. The smaller pouches hold my gages and mirrors. I also have a pair of carpenter's suspenders hooked to the belt to support the weight.

Good luck - Al

I don't carry that much stuff but I would like something similar on a smaller scale.

I use one of these from Nite-ize.  They have a bunch to choose from.  Here is the link to the site, select "mobile accessories"  also look at their flashlight accessories too.

I use many of the items they offer - Tough, reliable and best fit for the type of inspection I do.  Get to climb through a 200+ foot Isostripper tower tonight. Yeah!
