hello dear members,

can any body tell me if, according to DNV 2000 requirements, one set of repair procedures can be used on the mainline, tie-ins and also the flange to pipe welds?

the mainline weld is cellulosic and all others are of low hydrogen type consumables.

one set of repair procedures ( thru thkness, mid thkness and cap ) is proposed to be qualified on the main line weld coupons.

do we have to do two more sets on the tie-in and flange to pipe welds as well? or, can we use these procedures on all the welds.

the pipeline material is API 5L X60 and the flange material is ASTM A694 F60.

thanks in advance.

I don not know about DVN 2000 but API 1104 allows one procedure for all welding, pipe, fittings flanges but requires a repair procedure to be set for repairs. You have to develop the procedure based on how deep to grind, how long, preheat if required etc. all the vaiables. THen weld it and tear it apart.
