Lincoln SA 200 Paint code????New and Old

The current dark grey metallic is a Dupont Centari B8012-a. The lighter grey metallic used before that was Dupont Centari 45832-a. I cant get Delstar around here, but Lincoln told me these are the paints they used.

i just finished my shorthood. i painted it the same color as the New Lincoln Classic 3D. it turned out really nice. just a bit of metal flake.

That is what I have been using latley. Carquest in a Dupont dealer, and Sherwin Williams (auto paint) carries the Dupont. Very easy to use, makes me look like I know how to paint.

are u shooting a single stage,or base/clear coat,im going to paint my short hood metalic grey.

Single stage. The last I bought was from Sherwim Williams, I think around $135 a gallon with reducer and hardener. Will do a lot of machines. They will mix a quart, time you add reducer and hardener, you will have close to 3 quarts if i rember right.

when your spraying it you want to use an hvlp gun with a small tip i think mine is a 1.4 or 1.5 in it and sue the same pattern as you would mowing the grass always cover half of the last line you paint if you dont you will have stipes it is very disappointing to see this when you are done. if you can get the paint code crossed over to dupont paint. They use a 1-1 ratio with this ratio a quart of paint makes a half gallon i prefer base coat claer coat it leaves a better finish
