Need exciter coil set

i need the year model off the machine i have a 54 short hood i'm parting out i think there is a difference in the coils between a short and long hood but i might be wrong i'll have to ask a few people and get back to you all you need is the coils right?

Not sure of the year, the faceplate is missing. And all I need is the coils, as far as I know.
Another question though. Newer code machines have a higher aux DC output at the outlet, 9 vs 15 amps. Is this due to the coils or the armature or both?

not sure how you're checking it but my machine reads 117 at the plug sounds to me like you need to recheck at high idle is your armiture housing round or octagon shaped the 54 i have i am parting out and to save you some time and trouble i will sell you the complete back half of the machine excluding the armiture and exciter for 500

i'm not sure on the higher dc output on different machines that would be a question for Kaye at bills welder repair she is on the forum under KSellon very helpful and very sa 200 savy

exciter field coils L8707. The only diference is the way they're wired internally in the field housing. Thus the reason you have to turn your rheostat to 100 for full output on the older machines and not on the newer ones.

Kaye is that price for copper or aluminum coils wow i was told 250 for a used set wow i'm getting ripped off down here if that price is copper that or you got some secrets up your sleeve i dont know about and no i aint asking for your secrets
