Would anyone know if the 1K potentiometer that is used in a Miller finger tip control (part#151086) a stock item from any particular manufacture or is it something they make from scratch? I use the one that is east/west on my TrailBlazer. I have just taken delivery on a Lincoln Vantage 400 which uses a 10K pot. I like the Miller FTC so well that I want to find out if a pot is made in 10K as a standard unit. I'm thinking if it is then I can just change out the 1K for the 10K and make an adapter for the Miller 14pin extention cord - any such luck-Ted

Hey Kaye, the Miller is a 1k ohm and Lincoln is 10K ohm. I talked to A Miller repair tech in town and he said I can get the 10K pot at a local supply house and he could make it work- Thanks- Ted

After several hours on the phone I found that the part I need is from a company named Vishay. The nice lady told me that they will have a 25 or more minimum so that's not gonna work. My question now is how can I make an adapter that would go inline before it gets back to the machine to make this work. Thanks- Ted
