There is an old Airco TIG welder Heliwelder on ebay right now, any opinions on this model? Sounds like an AC/DC unit and something I could learn to TIG with?

Those are good machines, this one is essentially the same as a Miller 320 A B/P

Tomorrow I will pick up my second old Linde Heliarc machine. Can't beat the price on these old welders as long as yu can pick them up and not ship them. I have bought both off Ebay for less than $200 complete with leads, tig torch, ect. At that price I could scrape the copper and come out ahead. A lot cheaper than a new machine for sure. I'd get it in a minute.

That is a good welder but not that one. My buddy checked it out and the a/c setting doesn't work.
