This is not on the whats new and applications are due by January 25 for the test March 19. If you have ever taken a API test this is a deadline written instone. Miss it one day and you will not make the class.
This certification is what I have been hearing is coming for the petroleum industry. THere has always been issues with CWI's in the petroleum industry. Deserved or not, it looks like the industry is starting to move toward API certification for welding inspectors. I can see in the near future the 577 being required for all work signed off by a API AI.
