I'm working on a job that requires lap shear testing for partial penetration autogenous laser welds on duplex stainless steels.  The trouble I'm running into is that the only codes I can find that cover lap shear testing are for adhesive lap joints, not welds.  Does such a code for welds exist?  This is for development of welding procedures for naval applications.
