I posted a topic a while back about my machine fingernailing real bad. I had a welder ask me what my volts where coming out of my plug on no load and i said 87-88 vdc. He said he always sets his at 91 to 93 volts and it causes less fingernailing on his bead. Have any of yall heard of this or do this. Im not going to mess with my govenor but i will turn it up a little  if it will help. I welded a bead and hot pass with his machine and it never fingernailed at all with same rod and pipe.

If you have a SA200 long hood it should be turning 1520 RPM's high, no load The older ones turned 1480 RPM high no load.
