Hello fellow forum members.
The time has finally arrived that I must replace one of my most loved possessions, my UT machine. It has finally passed on and I have to break down and, my Scottish blood won't even let me say it, "spend some money" and buy a new machine.
My question is, those of you that work with UT, which machine type is preferred, the Olympic Epoch type or the Krautkramer USM or USN type machines?
Thanks for your opinions.
Best regards - Al
I have Panametrics, KB's and Sonatest. I think the Sonatest is my favorite.

I think everyone has a favorite....otherwise there would only be one on the market!
Put me down for the Krautkramer USN58L.
I'm with Bill....I absolutely love my USN58L with the video output. I don't use the video output that often, but when I do it is worth it. Screen resolution is far superior to my old USN50, and the colored legs are a nice feature too.
Come on by the shop one day when you travel down this way Al, I'll let you test drive mine....
It depends on your service needs. Both brands are servicable, but given I learned on a usl 38, I am partial to the KKB series. It was suggested to move into phased array, I think that is sound advice.

Gerald
Thanks for your input gentlemen. I appreciate your help.
