I use this product (954)  often, and i am left with 3-4 inch drops.  I would like to tack these drops together for sawing oddball parts.  I have tried the practices I use for # 660 bronze, ( silver solder, paste solder ) with no results.  the molten puddle will not wet to the parent metal.  Please advise.

As You only have to withstand the forces of sawing, and even some of the part You are sawing on will be supported in the vise I suggest You line the drops up on a flat table with one edge lined up against a streightedge and tape with filiment packing tape. Turn over and do the other side. I have actually seen this done with material that was milled to shape in longer bars and cut into sections about 1/2" thick. It worked better than I thought it would, the bars were about 2"x2". If the saw vise stops far from the blade use 2 strips of stock 1 placed each side of the work to extend the vise's clamping close to the blade.
