We are considering purchase of a Plasma Cam unit.

We understand they they cost about half as much as a normal mechinized plasma table because it is rather light duty.   We are a training facility so our production will be low.

But we are asking for feedback from folks who have used this specific unit, as to how they liked the performance, speed, programmability, robustness etc.

Know several shops that have one, without any problems.

I have one. The software isn't the easiest to use. You will find that doing the designs in another program then importing it into the plasmacam software will be a lot easier. Other than that it is a realy neat unit.

Same company sells a unit called the "Sampson" check it out also

I've seen that particular unit on several occasions in smaller precision shops. Never heard anyone complaining about them except for degree of difficulty in programming.
