call (drive to) flint energy in fairfield  talk to tommy I think they test any day of the week hiring for work in and around ft worth is what i was told.  If you test at the barn you will go into welders pool for xto so contractors (think they have 5-6) needing welders will chose form tested ones not someone who said he could weld.................. also try outlaw oilfield in cleburne  think the owner is pat chumley ??????? its a new company may need welders. if you want rig building try gmx resources in marshall talk to kirban or gary were hiring last month. rb oder in longview was hiring also. hahn and clay is firing up on a line in south texas dont know were the office is at. when in fairfield go to R construction in buffalo just south of fairfield. barrileaux may be hiring they are in oakwood just east of buffalo I would recomend driving most will test the same day plus they want to see your rig.

If you are south of Houston make some calls to Freeport and try Gulf States Inc., Infinity Maintenance, Freeport Welding, Brazosport Pipe and Steel, Tri-Con, Zachry, and  Troy Construction.

What about Rig building yards in Tarrant or Johnson County? Are there any? And if so, where?

Jay, if you are a welder around here (Houston) and can't find a job, something is wrong.  In the construction industry, around and on the Ship channel, there are 1,000's of Jobs.  Chicago Bridge and Iron (Deer Park) needs many.  John
