I'd give ya mine from my 47' but then I'd have to jump it all the time lol. Seriously though when I get it in to the shop for the major upgrades I'll give ya the handle, you're probably just going to mount it on yer 200D to mess with people aren't ya??

from time to time I've seen them on ebay for sale. I'd like to get one as well for my 62 like today I tried cranking it well I couldn't get it to turn over I think it could be a bad connection with the starter but I don't know for sure and sure would have been nice to hand crank it

they sure wouldn't be very hard to make, the one on my 47' I'm pretty sure was fabbed up (not an original) it looks way too rough to be factory

Chris clean your battery connections and make sure they are tight and then clean the connections on your atrter if that doesnt do it try changing the solenoid on the starter if you have another machine you can jump it through the leads turn the running machine dials all the way up and turn the dead machine dials all the way down hook the turn on the ignition switch hook the leads together and it'll start its self from combustion as soon as it starts unhook the leads

yeah that is what K told me to do well the battery is fine I gotta try and clean the solenoid part on the starter really good she even told me to take it off and make sure it is working properly. I guess I can get a new solenoid if I take it to napa or O'reilys and have them match it up. I don't have another machine but man that sure is cool you can jump start it like that.
Thanks

Chris

I'm hoping it just needs to be cleaned so the Ac delco starter that you can use I'm assuming it for the Gm's correct? and I could go to any carquest or whatever and get one? Thanks

nooooooooooooooooooooooo the ac delco you need has to be shaved ( machined ) on 3 sides in order to fit and you need to make sure it has the right bendix gear to work with your flywheel if not oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh major trouble you'll strip the ring gear and lincoln dont make them anymore if it's the starter find someone to rebuild it good luck you cant get the starter you need at any parts house you'll have to get it from a welder repair shop
