Hey guys-
So I have been thumbing through my D1.1 code book over the past week trying to familiarize myself with it for my seminar/test in May. Today at work, I'm looking at one of the jobs we're working on, and the weld callout on the drawing reads. "Weld: IAW AWS D1.1 CYCLIC CONSRUCTION". So I'm just trying to get a little practical hands on here, but as I look through the table of contents in D1.1, I see that there are references to cyclically loaded weldments in parts B,C,and D of Sec2 (Design of Welded Connections). Would I basically need to read and be familiar with all of this info., or is there a specific process that I should follow? Please keep in mind I'm new at this, so if this is a dumb question, please be easy on me.
Thanks
Jason
