My newly purchased '60 model sa 200 welds great! its just that the polarity is opposite from what the panel says. neg(ground) on the left, pos(electrode) on the right for reverse polarity, right? wrong! just the opposite. whats the deal?

Hi Banshee,
Over the years I have seen many 200s with the polarity reversed. When I asked senior welders they said that starting another welder with the cables can cause polarity change. I think there is a thread about changing the polarity back on this forum??? Something about flashing the fields, (I think).

Someone has used the machine to spin off another, and didn't pay attention to how it was connected to the output studs. I would rather you call me, so I can explain how to correct this. 405-232-4799

If done improperly it would burn up coils and wiring.. And I personally don't want to be responsible for any misunderstood direction.
