I have russian steels as i mention below for bridge construction; Can you help me about the filler(electrod/wire) materials (according to EN or AWS) to cover -40C 27J impact requirements, and i also need equivalent steel qualities of those materials in EN or American norms.
You are going to have to look at the MTR's to determine what the metal is. If the material was delivered without MTR's and they cannot be procured, then you have a bunch of material to make Bar-B-Que pits out of. I have seen Russian/Ukranian steel and they do MTR's just like everybody else. The Russian steel quality stunk, but it was all A36, and pulled 40K+ so it was ok. Welders hated it. If your supplier has given you a bunch of paperwork in Russian and they say it cannot get it in english, have them come pick the junk up. You should not have to figure out anything. If you specified a grade of steel, then the supplier should give you that, and provide the documentation to support it. BABRT's
MTRs i havent received any yet but i am sure i ll get them in Russian language, indeed i need kind of a comparison chart of steel qualities between russian and EN or AWS by this way i may determine the filler materials.
