I put an Arc1 singles auto lens in my wendys pancake and I'm getting a wierd tunnel vision effect. It only seems to protect my eyes when I'm straight on with the arc, but if I tilt my head away slightly the arc becomes very bright. I haven't noticed this with other auto hoods and am wondering if others have this problem. Perhaps there are better options besides Arc1. What do others use in their pancakes?

I use a EQC Journeyman V-HTLS in a Sarge's hood, works great. The first filter I had lasted 8 years. Make sure the sensor is not obstructed. My hood has a little bit of play in the window and I  have to make sure the filter is to the bottom when I change batteries.

Hmm, maybe I'll try the EQC. Unless I can figure out how to drop my pancake with a nod!
