i just took a month or so off from working in the rifle meeker area of colorado. ever since ive been back in texas ive been finding shorthoods all over. mostly people that dont know what they have. i bought 2 shorthoods in good shape, one runs one doesnt for $500. i was wonder if someone could fill me in on some of the information on the f162. is there a big difference motor wise from old shorthood to a newer one?? who would be the best company to contact for parts??? And what do you do to put on a starter since their isnt a flywheel....???

thanks

Talk to them, they are good.  I don't even have an SA or old welder, but Kaye fixed me up with the parts for my old Contenintal engine forklift.

Pretty much the same motor, I get my parts from napa auto parts plus a local engine builder, you can also go to continital web page
