Doe's anyone know if 7028 is still being produced in the U.S.? I've looked at Lincoln and Hobart websites, it seems to have been dropped those folks. Any help would be great.

The topic indicated E7028. If it were TIG, it would be ER7028.

John,
Thanks for the infomation. I guess it's going back to 3/16" 7018 for the time being. Boy I really don't what to tell the shop about this little item.

The larger rods is where they were having problems and reformulating...ie 3/16", 7/32", the 5/32" was still being produced as I understood it.

We were expecting to see something yesterday(1/4) or today(1/5), but no word yet as of this morning(1/5), but the day is just getting started.

our lincoln rep told us they pulled E-7028 because someone used it for "an applcation other than its intended purpose" and then lincoln got in trouble. sounded like a bunch of crap to me.

Apparently he is either not being up front with you or he just doesn't know...
