anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tested the coil being grounded and touching the mag. and coil. But not getting any fire out of the cap.
Is my mag. out of timing and if so how do I get it back in time?
THANKS A BUNCH

What gap? Did you check for residual magnetism? You will not see fire across the point gap. The Mag has an impulse spring that snaps the rotation to make it fire at the tab on the coil.

With No#1 cyl on TDC compression install the mag set to fire on No# 1 but on the compression side of the impulse.

propably a dumb quest. whats the TDC? I'm not really savy on engines, so I need to get the #1 cyl. on high and set the rotor to the #1 plug? I'm Igetting it or am I way off?
thanks
